Bring da’noise!!!

yaki-and-yumi-rev-1.jpg

Join me in a group drool over Paul’s latest coloring extravaganza! Yumi looks great!! And she is a perfect contrast to Yaki, don’t'cha think? We have to play around with the hands and decide on whether to keep them spongy like her left hand, or more graphic like her right hand, or something inbetween. We are also still playing around with the colors on her belly, and are contemplating something in the purple family, but for now…ENJOY!

I think I need to add some light purples in the mix someplace… probably her belly… Ummmm…Yeah I’m gonna do that.

The toony odd couple XD really nice stuff

Aliki; these look super fab! These characters look awesome!
I like the “graphic” style for the hand personally. It seems better for the overall style of the character. I would darken the stripes on the belly. They’re close in value to the lighter color. My opinion only. Can’t wait to see more!!!!!

Aliki,
Great going!!!
The colors are wonderful.
Yes, maybe a mix of blue in all that pink (meaning ending up with a sort of purple) to tie in with Yaki a bit.
They are looking great. I love the enthusiasm I see in Yumi.

It’s coming along really well! The contrast between Yaki and Yumi look’s wonderful.
But yes, for Yumi perhaps a deeper lavender shade and I wonder how a lighter version of that would look for the belly stripes. Regarding the hands, would a combination of of both styles work?

this does look great. i agree with maybe adding some light purple in there. also , i really like the graphic shape of the hand. there are so many great straights vs. curves in the design, i think the rounder fingers go against that style. again, i’m so exited for you. and proud.

More purple would be good - or else one thinks of the Pink Panther.

This is looking pretty sharp. I’m a big fan of self lines, myself.

Hm. The colors made me think of Pete’s Dragon. And, that association brought a smile to my face!

The curley-cue elbows and knees are so cute!

My votes:
Orange and Pink. Or red and pink.
Left hand
Curlicues are fantastic

Wow, they really do complement and contrast each other both in design and color. Great vision!
