Hooray for Jun!!

Hiya! It has been a while I know, but I am prepping to debut the new and improved storyboard, after incorporating my director’s notes.

Speaking of my director. I thought I would openly thank the amazingly talented and ever so hilarious, Jun Falkenstein!
When I was still a student, my class took a tour of Hanna Barbera. (I would later intern there as a photocopying,fed ex sending, expense report typing Queen of the universe) I remember being introduced to Jun, and she showed us a storyboard from Scooby Doo. It was so inspiring to meet a rawkin’ woman in animation, who was living my dream, and as a director no less!!

Who knew that 10 years later, I would have the honor of having Jun as the director on my very own creation! Jun’s directing credits include:

*The Tigger Movie
* Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas
* Winnie the Pooh
* Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights

Speaking of the days of being a student…
Here is a page from my board where Yaki is too full to fly, and bounces out of control…Aspiring animators know that all animation starts with the bouncing ball lesson. Do you recognize the bouncing ball in this scene??? Can you say “Preston Blair?”

I’m very excited that Jun Falkenstein is your director Aliki as you have told me so many wonderful things about her work.

I remember that bouncing ball when you first animated it - you’ve come a long way baby!

Oh, I love little Yaki. He sure gets into a lot of trouble. I really like at I can see all the action and motion from this set of images.

HI Aliki! As a high school friend of your mother’s I was so excited to be able to see your cartoon which she’s told me so much about! I’m showing this to my grandkids (12 and 4). I KNOW it will be a hit! Dragons are really IN now!! I love the characters!!

A belated thanks for joining the team, Jun. We’re almost as excited as Aliki is to have you here. Now all you have to do is pitch your own short.

Aliki, I love to read your blog. It will be fun to look back on it when you are rich and famous…in about three weeks, no?!!

Aliki,
Reading your blog makes me feel so proud to be working with you. Now when you are famous I can say, I coordinated her wedding. HAHA!!

Love your work!

Very nice site!
