Hi everyone…introducing…YAKI AND YUMI!!! A loveable, yet dysfunctional pair that I will be posting about during the next few months! This drawing is the first one I ever did. It was during a boring class, with a very boring lecturer. I highly recommend BORING CLASSES as inspiration to create new cartoons. It has worked many times for me! I am SOOOO excited to be a part of OH YEAH! CARTOONS I can hardly stand it! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! Stay tuned, tooned, and touned (?) for more!

Ah, how I wish I could go back and take some of those classes and just doodle again… It’s kinda sad how badly, as a kid, I wanted to get out of school… Now I’m thinking, that was the only place I actually got anything DONE creativly!… how ironic.

Yaki and Yumi are so adorable!!! I’m sure their adventures will be exciting, and the give and take of the two personalities will keep us riveted and wanting more! I simply love Yaki and Yumi. First of all the names are wonderful and really appealing. Secondly, I love their facial expressions which are endearing. And I love the psychological tension that we can all relate to in “dysfunctional families/relationships”. I am really proud of you Aliki…keep going!

I am the proud Mom of this super talented girl. Her creativity permeates through every fiber of her being. I saw her talent early on from her crayon scribbling all over the house, the caricatures she made of her teachers and friends and her magnificent creations to this day. I’m so happy she is being recognized by people who have insight and foresight.
