moving forward!
Finally, I am blogging for “Victor”. I really respect those creators who blog almost everyday.(Jeff DeGrandis!!! Mike Milo!!aliki and anne!!!) !!! How do you guys possibly do that?!:)
The good news is victor is moving forward!. I am tweaking the storyboards and at the same time casting the voice talent. Cutting the story into 6min 40 sec is always a challenge for me. Now I have the material at about 9min. Which part shall I let go? WHich characters Shall I terminate? ugh….![]()

Great Designs! I love the dog! That Bg is pretty cool too… looks like Moscow! Hmmm… how to blog daily? I think being a chatter box and a helpless addiction to the internet helps. I know I’m always interested in what people post so like a fly to sugar I keep checking in and that makes we think of something I can post too!

Hi Niki!
Your designs and show look great so far!
And I know how hard it is to blog everyday or at least a few times a week. I usually try to pop out a few drawings a week now. Since “STORE WARS” Finsters is complete; I try to post production material or goofy Finster stuff.
And as far as “cutting” material goes; only YOU know what you cut. The audience will never know. As Chuck Jones told me, “Sometimes you have to murder your darlings.” We all like a lot of our material, but which material will make the story flow the smoothest? How can you get from A to B the clearest and still keep the integrity of your story? You can save gags and cool stuff for another project. By then you’ve come up with so many other things.
Cutting down your show is very difficult, but you’ll find you don’t need it all. Start by putting post-its over scenes you don’t need. You may have to draw a few hook-up scenes to make the cuts flow better, Niki.
E-mail me at Nickelodeon if you want to discuss. You’ll do great!
We’ll talk soon and good luck and have fun!

A good way to ascretain what is essential is to put post-its on sections you think you might be able to lose but are not sure and pitch it to a friend that way and you’ll know instantly if that particular section was needed to get the story across. The Post-its of course let you “cut” without truly cutting. Another thing I would say is that a true story is just a simple premise. It is about a person (or dog in this case) who wants something, has trouble getting it and how do they solve that unique problem. Anything else in the story really is just fluff. Lastly it doesn’t add and/or build “character” to your players then it can easily go.
