Dugly Uckling in: Treasure Quest

Quiggums Unmasked

June 20th, 2006

Treasure Hunters Ho! As I continue to pen and sketch the adventure of Dugly the treasure happy fowl, I thought I’d give you a sneak peak at Quiggums, the mystic guinea pig. Dugly’s spiritual chum.
To compliment Dugly’s feisty personality I was looking for a character that was more reserved- his voice of reason. Quiggums likes to toss out little “fortune cookie-isms” of wisdom that may or may not apply to the matter at hand.

Visually, his pudgy, round shape works nicely against Dugly’s sharp edges. I’m thinking of natural brown tones for him but I’ll have to experiment with the color backgrounds.

Quiggums’ thought for the day: “When life gives you lemons- make bathroom deodorizer!”

Next time
More sketches and perhaps a rough layout or two.
I’ll stay in touch.

WOW!! This an extremely great character design!! WOW!!! -Steve http://www.stephenstudios.com

Yea, this looks like its going to make a series.

hehe, reminds me of when I was in high school I had a character/bb handle called “Samurai Guinea Pig”, or SGP for short. I drew him on everything.

Great stuff Guy! Post some more stuff!

You know, this one reminds me of Jiggers, the beaver on your show, Iggy Arbuckle. I love that show! I hope you’re planning on another season soon!

I don’t know where else to say this, so I’m saying it here: You know, I don’t know if you were planning on a new season of I.A., but if you’re stuck on ideas, I can give a few thought-springers. Maybe you could bring Chip, Jiggers’ nephew, back. I personally would like to see what might happen if he ever meets Catfish Stu! Or you could introduce Stu’s brother, Stanley, into the show. Since Stanley’s better at business than Stu, it could serve for an interesting plot; maybe he could give Stu a few pointers on how to make his camp more appealing or something like that. Then there’s Robear and Robert; the possibilities with them are endless. I’ve often wondered about why they seem to have been raised in different nationalities. I remember in the last episode (I think it was) of the first season, “When Iggy Met Jiggers/One Fine Day”, after Iggy finishes telling Kira about when Jiggers first came to the Kookamunga, he briefly mentions Robear and Robert’s arrival but says “But that’s another story”. Oh, I hope you’ll do one about what happened, and why they came to the Kookamunga! You see, I have a crush on Robear *chuckles* and so I’m deeply interested in anything about him.
Of course, these are only suggestions; it’s your job to do the ideas making for your show. But if you are ever stuck on ideas for future episodes, I’ve got plenty more where those came from!
Good luck!

I agree! Hurry up with the second season please; Jiggers is the best! Lol!!!
