Hard to believe they keep sinking money into it, no!?! Penguins? Been done! In fact this year!! WB already screwed up that genre and DreamWorks had some funny penguins in Madagascar. I am actually surprised we haven’t seen a car movie from them or a movie about superhero families!

And beyond that, there’s Happy Feet, the penguins in the new coke polar bear ad, and then Bob Saget’s Farce of the Penguins. Who suddenly decided that penguins were all the rage? And how could we, in 2006 be at the point where feature development people aren’t looking out to make sure we don’t get an oversaturation of ant movies, penguin movies, or rat movies? I’ve been pitching to TV animation development folks a lot lately, and they seem to watch stuff like that like a HAWK!
Somebody let me make a raccoon-girl-in-a-frog suit movie. If THAT becomes a trend, it couldn’t possibly be a coincidence.

Hey! What about a movie about CRAZY ESCAPED ZOO ANIMALS! That’s never been done before…oh, wait. (Acutally, I think pandas are next. Or something.)
