Digg calls itself a “social news” site.

“Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control. With digg, users submit stories for review, but rather than allow an editor to decide which stories go on the homepage, the users do.”

They invented and popularized this kind of idea, and we thought it would work really well for animation and cartoons. After all, who’s smarter than you?

So far, the number one request we’ve had at ToonFuse is: “You know, we’re animation people. We like pictures!”

Agreed. When we redesign over the next week or so, the ability to add a visual to story headlines is one of our top priorities (along with a color scheme with better readability).

Thanks for being part of our beta test and giving your valuable feedback.

Here it is, the official blog for ToonFuse, the beta test of the first social news site for cartoons and animation.

What, you ask, is “social news?”

That, and more, will follow.
