Tiffany

A Postcard for all occasions!

Above is a postcard that my brilliant photoshop friend Ed Schimara did for me. We were going for a retro Warhol look. Ed thought it would be easier to do in Illustrator, but ended up doing it in Photoshop. I think it would make a great poster!

Back from Korea means back to work.

Tiffany animations returned from Korea last week. Retakes occurred. Notes were taken. Musicians were submitted. Old friends were reacquainted. After being busy, but absent for a while from my Nickelodeon pals it was nice to be in the mix again. Now I’ll wait for Korea to makes the necessary changes and then it’s time for Music, Sound Effects and the wonderful Post Production magic!

And by the way, kudos to all involved in planning the first (of many) Random Cartoon screenings at Nickelodeon. I thought it was a smashing success and can’t wait for the next one.

See ya.

Oh No, It’s TIffany!

Tiffany is due back from Korea around the end of next week so it’s time to seriously start thinking about what kind of music I want and also to finish up my title cards. I’m starting an Story Supervisor job Monday and have started writing for a small theatre group. I’m also pitching new shows around town so thank you to Frederator for opening so many doors for me.

THE GOOD SHIP TIFFANY APPROACHES OFF THE STARBOARD BOW!!!

I’ve been trying to browbeat my wife into setting up a web site devoted entirely to Adam Henry but it’s been slow go. With two kids in school I’m just not the highest priority in the Henry household. Boo Hoo. Above is a Web Page heading I’m working on. Or I should say my daughter, Lily and I are working on. She’s the photoshop expert in the house.

I just saw the first 4 scenes of Tiffany come back from Korea. If I were a betting man I’d say THIS IS THE ONE, BABY!!!

MY FIRST FAMILY FAN ART!!!

Above is my daughter Lily’s first drawing of one of my characters. I find it interesting that she chose Tiffany, probably the most marketable character I’ve ever created.

Judging by the blogging this weekend I guess I better get taggin!

The Latest in a long line….

Above is Hunky & Dory, my latest pitch to the gang at Frederator/Nickelodeon. It’s a timeless tale of love, violence (for Larry) and obsession. Hunky is an innocent bear and Dory is a cynical Rabbit. Hunky tests their friendship when he can’t stop buying things. As you can imagine, mayhem ensues!!!
For those of you wondering what a creator does when he’s done creating, I’m currently doing some freelance storyboarding for Warner Bros. It’s fun, but it ain’t like havin’ your own show, baby!!!!!

GREAT ART

This is one of the paintings I gave my color Background person as reference for my show. I really like the contrast from dark to light.

I had my checking meeting today for Tiffany. It was only 1/2 hour which I hear is amazingly short. I guess that means Tiffany is PERFECT! Can’t wait till May to get it back from Korea. Ciao!

TIFFANY HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!

Yes. Tiffany has left the building. And so do I. Tiffany ships to Korea soon (some of it already has.) In three months I’ll be back to do my post production magic. And if Krunch & the Kid is any indication, Tiffany is going to look amazing then.

I just want to say thanks to Fred, Eric, Larry, Melissa, Mac, Little Eric, Therese, Jack, Molly, Mike Petak, Scott, Meredith, and Jason. And good luck to Aliki, Kyle, Andrew, Anne, Niki, Jun, Pen and all the other creators, my friendly competitors.

Let’s say this is the beginning of the journey, not the end!

Winding Down

The above picture is Rossman and Freddie, a pitch Melissa Wolfe and I did on Monday. It’s the sordid tale of a butterfly and his ‘unwilling to grow up and become a butterfly’ brother. It was a good pitch, but it might have been too little, too late seeing as the Oh Yeah Cartoon window is closing soon. By Monday they might have picked all 39 shorts!! Boo Hoo!! Oh well, there’s always the next 39!!!
