So………Who’s Your Inspiration?
Hi Cartoon Fans!
So; the Finster Finster Show is in animation production and will be back in March. I’ve been pitching other shows. I continue to put Finster production art on the blog to share with everyone. Like you. By the way, all your art looks great!
I continue to put my hot rod art and other things on the blogs.
But, I like to share my life with everyone as well. And I thought it would be good to show the people that have influenced me and my cartoons the most.
Of all these people, I would say Ed “Big Daddy” Roth influenced me to draw more in the back of class than anyone. Ed Roth loved hot rods and hot rod art; and I do too.
Jack Davis for his wonderful, energetic artwork. Alfred E. Newman introduced him to me.
MC Escher who I discovered in 1980 and is a master of great detail, perspective and cool drawings to look at.
Tex Avery made me laugh the hardest at cartoons on TV. Northwest Hounded Police was that cartoon.
And Chuck Jones who gave me my break into this wonderful business. He was my very good personal friend and my mentor. I miss him.
That’s it for this blog posting!
I’ll put up some more Finster, hot rod drawings and stuff I think you’ll like, next week!
Have a great weekend and have fun!
Jeff

Thanks, Jeaux.
I appreciate that.
I too like to see what’s behind the people who make cartoons or anything.
Continued good luck to you too. And thanks for all your comments on the blog. They mean a lot.
We’ll talk soon!

Hi Jeff!
It was great to finally get to meet you on Friday, I especially enjoyed your hilarious JFK impersonation! Hopefully we can get to talk more on a day when I have a less hectic schedule. I have been inspired by: the classic Warners Cartoons, Charles Shultz, Peter Arno, the Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Walt Kelly, classic Marvel Comics, and of course, Doug Gray (my older brother!).
Good luck with your new pitches!
