One Red Room

So this afternoon I had the good fortune to hang out with two of the principles of the (mainly) Flash cartoon studio One Red Room, creative director Chris Hamilton and business development EVP Andrew Bishop. They were kind enough to give me a tour of their Toluca Lake studio, as well as show me some clips of projects they’re working on, like Safety Patrol for Playhouse Disney and MTV2’s The Adventures of Chico and Gaupo. They’re two very, VERY different shows, but both looked like a ton of fun. Thanks for the time, guys. (While there, I also ran into two cartoonists that I’m a big fan of - Robert Ramirez and Mike Hollingsworth, so links to them, too.)

By the way, we go way back with Robert. Though he now primarily writes animated movies he was one of our stunning young artists back at Hanna-Barbera, and was a particularly key part of some of our original “What A Cartoon!” shorts ( http://frederator.kz/rez.php?album=46 ).
