More Annie Nominees

December 6th, 2005

So yesterday I posted a bit about the great news of Frederator nailing five nominations for this year’s Annie Awards by highlighting the work of two nominees, Gary Conrad and Ernie Gilbert. Now, for the rest of the bunch.

First, executive producers Rob Renzetti and Fred Seibert are up for the Best Animated Television Production for Rob’s My Life as a Teenage Robot. On the Individual Achievement side are Bryan Arnett for his Robot character designs (it’s this CalArts grad’s first nomination) and Alex Kirwan for overall production design (Alex’s fourth Annie nomination - his previous three were for Oh Yeah!, Time Squad, and Teenage Robot). Thanks for your hard work, guys. And best of luck in February.

Five Annie Nominations For Frederator

Character Design in an Animated Television Production - Bryan Arnett, My Life as a Teenage Robot, and Ernie Gilbert, The Fairly OddParents

Directing in an Animated Television Production - Gary Conrad, The Fairly OddParents

Production Design in an Animated Television Production - Alex Kirwan, My Life as a Teenage Robot

Hats off to all. Also, a big congratulations to FOP creator Butch Hartman as well as to Rob Renzetti, the man behind Teenage Robot.

Tomorrow I’ll highlight some art by the Robot boys, but tonight here are a trio of stills from the FOP short “The Good Old Days” for which both Ernie and Gary received their well-deserved nominations. (To [Read more…]
