Heres a picture Melissa shot at last weeks re-pitch of the Teapot! storyboard. It shows some of the key talent creator Greg Eagles has assembled for his crew so far: Bill Flores, Greg, Dahveed Kolodny-Nagy, Robert Alvarez, and Alex Almaguer. I’m sure Greg and Dahveed will post more about these guys, but I wanted to introduce you briefly to these artists, highlighting their past work for Frederator.

Alex Almaguer. Alex is busy polishing up the Teapot! storyboard. His relationship with Frederator goes back a bit as a storyboard revisionist he was one of the key artists on My Life as a Teenage Robot. (Hes also newly married to the former Holly Kim, a color stylist over on Frederators Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!)

Bill Flores also put (and, once in a while, continues to put) his time in at Teenage Robot. Many of the fantastic background designs you see on the show are his work. Like Alex, Bills currently over at Cartoon Network working on Billy and Mandy.

Last, but not least, is director Robert Alvarez. Roberts list of credits in the business is as long as your leg. Hes been cartooning since the 1970s, and has worked on series such as Dexters Laboratory, The PowerPuff Girls, Teenage Robot, and Billy and Mandy. Hes earned three Emmys for his work on Clone Wars and Samurai Jack. Robert also created two shorts for Oh Yeah!s earlier incarnation, What a Cartoon!, at Hanna-Barbera.

Welcome aboard, guys. At the very least, if the quality of a short can be measured by the sum of its talent, Teapot! is off to a great start.

I’m so impressed by the career histories of the members of the Teapot Team! With that experience and talent, Teapot will definitely be successful. My good wishes to the Teapot Team!

Great crew. And I’m very aware of the Alvarez name. Say, how can I weasel my way into Frederator? I feel like I’m missing out on all the fun!
