Fishbowl-Headed Characters, Part Zwei
In my previous post I mentioned our recent spate of pitches with fishbowl-headed characters. So today one of animation’s leading authors/critics referred me to the 2004 Masaaki Yuasa film Mind Game, featuring in a brief cameo - you guessed it - a fishbowl-headed character. Again, not too similar to the concepts I’ve seen recently, but still a little odd when you think about it.

as pointed out by my pal James: “hate to burst your bubble, but Joel Priddy’s award-winning comic book “Pulpatoon Pilgrimage” totally already did robot-with-a-fish-in-his-head. but he wasn’t smart enough to have the fish be the robot’s face, and also his comic wasn’t very good.”
Regardless of how james feels about the comic, i think joel did a great job on the art and story. Yet another odd coincidence out in the supernatural force-field of, well… life and stuff?
