Introducing: Sugarfoot!
Summerteeth is dead!
…in name only.
Welcome, Sugarfoot.
Due to a copyright issue, the name “Summerteeth” had to be changed. After a week of going through name after name (”hmm….Mayonnaise MacIntosh? maybe…”), “Sugarfoot” showed up. Big thanks to Melissa for being my brainstorming buddy when Sugarfoot appeared.
Some of the other names that were thrown to the scrap heap during the search included: Rube, Kirkwood, Coldyron, Shoeboogie, Sonny, Dewayne, Maynard, Silverteeth Sala, and Potatoes O’Gratin (sorry, Howie).
Also, we’ve got a cast set for recording next Friday, but I’ll save that for later.

Cool new name! I was there for some of the brain storming! Mayonnaise MacIntosh sounded too much like Patty Mayonnaise from doug who coincidentally did a voice for my short :)… Well, his new name is great and cant wait to see it on TV!

In the interests of being helpful, you should be aware of the popular 1957-1961 Warner Bros. Western TV series called SUGARFOOT. Also, Walter Lantz produced two theatrical cartoons with a horse character named SUGARFOOT in 1954 (”Hay Rube” and “A Horse’s Tale”). Check this webpage for pictures from both cartoons: http://lantz.goldenagecartoons.com/1954.html

Thanks, Jerry. The forces-that-be who put the kee-bosh on “Summerteeth” have given the thumbs-up to “Sugarfoot,” so I guess there’s not a problem. I wanted to make sure everything was ok’d before posting anything about it.
