Beginnings are the New Black

Kicking off this blog is tough…so here we go, head first into the shallow end. (I should bribe Melissa to write these things after that introduction she wrote Tuesday).
Here’s some doodles of Summerteeth, the star of this picture show. I’ve been hammering out just what exactly he looks like. In the storyboard right now, sometimes he’s a big toe, sometimes an egg, and other times just a cereal box with ker-razy straws for limbs.
In my heart, I think he’s at his best as the big toe.

I totally love the design of this little guy. He feels like a modern day “I want my MAYPO” type kid, design thingy….Nice expression sheet. At deep down inside aren’t we all really just a big toe? Thank you, good night and good luck.

I love it too. great kickoff. Can’t see too much drawing. He reminds me of Humpty Dumpty from the old WB cartoons. Funny stuff. I love the expressions. Post more cool stuff!
