Sparkles and Gloom

Annie isn’t here right now Mrs. Torrance.

So I walked to Anne’s office this morning, jovial and bright eyed, but when I got there, the door was closed. And locked! Sadly, I remembered that Anne has moved to Renegade Animation Studios where she will be working with the team over there to animate Sparkles and Gloom, and all of the Geevil School creatures.

Like any children dealing with separation anxiety, Sparkles and Gloom didn’t take the news of Anne’s departure very well. Gloom said, “Great. So what do you do again? You’re the writer?” Sparkles tried to make me feel better, and said, “I think it’s great that you’re a writer! I learned to write when I was five!”. Her cheerie charade didn’t last too long. I found her at lunch time huddled in the corner of Anne’s office, using her index finger to talk to me in a low voice, and writing on mirrors in lipstick: “Enna…Enna….”.

I tried to appease them by drawing my very first fan art (of which they weren’t fans). Anne, we miss you!!

Awww I feel bad for you Melissa! But still, that’s a pretty cool drawing if it’s yours!

Thanks Mike! The drawings are “mine”, but the reference material I used to draw them were from Anne’s wealth of S&G drawings she has left for me over the months. Gotta give her props!

Either way, it’s pretty good!

Anne, you better be there on the 7th!!!

I’ll try, Steve…either way I’ll catch ya at Comicon!

Aw!! I feel so loved :) I’m sitting here at Renegade, in the large, silent design room. *peers around* so quiet…so empty….!

Aw man! I think the computer just deleted my last comment. It involved me, and my appreciation for all the love. I’m just sittin’ here in the cold, empty design room at Renegade…so cold….so empty….

Melissa,
Be warned, please leave the fan art to THE MAN.
Signed,
The Man
