Sparkles and Gloom

Rainbows and Fungus. Face Off. On Stage. In a Duel.

storyboard02.jpg

With our second storyboard pitch coming up this afternoon, we wanted to share a few new panels with you.

The initial board Anne and I pitched was 20 pages of 2 drawings per page. The one we’re pitching today is 100 pages of 3 drawings per page. We’ll let you smarties do the math.

We have cut, pasted, added, subtracted, divided, square rooted and even wrote a Geevil School Alma Mater (think Family Ties theme song meets cartoonie goodness).

We’ll keep you posted!

Very cool! The poses and expressions look great! Anne, you’re too talented! -Steve http://www.stephenstudios.com

I love the use of words as descriptive SFX in animation. Ever since BATMAN in the 60’s. It’s just a way to squeeze in another ounce of humor! Nice section of story board. IS this the final board that gets sent to RENEGADE? Or do you do another cleaner/tighter one when it’s all aprroved and figured out? Just curious.

Hey Manny! Yep, this is the final board that gets sent to Renegade…once the animatic is cut, the Technical Directors drop a Quicktime of each scene into Flash. The Quicktime is the basis of timing for animation…No x-sheets or slugs for us!

I hate x-sheets. I always feel like I’m doing my taxes or taking the S.A.T.s. Hmmm….I didn’t know they could just use a Quicktime for timing. Thanks for the info!

I know! Math and I don’t get along. We did the same thing for MTK– just cut together a rough animatic, timed it out by watching it and going through scene by scene, then just “click” and the Quicktime fairy takes care of the rest :P

Now wait a minute! Exposure Sheets rock! I can’t add 2+2 but I can time sheets! It’s a different animal really and it’s more like animating with numbers instead. No adding or math really. At least not anything you can’t add with your fingers. I make quite a bit of money on the side doing sheets! Let’s not take them away forever just yet! Damn Quicktime Fairies! I do love Flash however and it is fun as well! It’s really the Animtion Tool of Kings! Sorry, I am bipolar.

Oh but I do like the drawings! :-)

nice panel..this looks so great :)

Looking great ladies! Anne your stuff is so cute yet so powerful! Loving it big time!

This looks great, thanks for sharing more of the board in progress! It’s going to be a great cartoon!
