The Lois We Love
I’m tellin’ ya — Lois Lane is the real star in the Fleischer brothers’ Superman cartoons. In today’s film, she outwits that cluck Clark faster than a speeding bullet and scoops the poor dope before you can say “Just how dumb is he?”
Unfortunately this also strands her, alone, on the peak of an erupting volcano! But our plucky heroine nimbly hop-scotches across rivulets of molten lava, climbs about a quarter of a mile hand over hand, dangling thousands of feet above a rocky chasm, to reach a handy cable-car. All by herself. It’s only when those cables start to snap, one by one, that she finally lets out one of her trademark screams for a little assistance from the rather poky Man of Steel.
All in all, a heck of a girl! And all through this she looks — well, she looks fabulous, in that snazzy little suit and tie!
