'Bill' Tytla the pretty good director doesn't get much respect because he was the same guy as Vlad Tytla the pretty fabulous animator. As to the nightmare stuff, I guess we don't usually expect anything too scary from Paramount-Famous, a studio whose vision of the living dead was Casper the Friendly Ghost. I agree it's a cute cartoon, but I would have liked to see the nightmares be a little more menacing.
