		<description>The Little King seems a great character for Van Beuren. Their animation is usually so clumsy and amateurish. They manage to get almost a lyrical quality in the King - maybe that's what they brought over from the comic (I'm not acquainted with the work) - and his minimal structure makes him easy to pose and move. The cartoon reminded me of European panel cartoons of the period and the post-war years. As for the prison riot, it lacked any comic quality and the idea of bombing the prison, killing both guards and cons, was tasteless.</description>
