The word cartoons isnt very visible.. its hiding behind the “random” ping pong balls. Also, the shaking is still weird to me.. was it brought up in the call? Also, I think maybe when the contraption finishes it should go away alittle quicker ( hand going down quicker and device moving up quicker). Hope this helps floyd!

I agree with Stephen. I find it hard to read “cartoons”. Other than that I love it. Will this go before all the cartoons then>

The word “Cartoons” in the animatic is not really how it will look in the final. What you are seeing as the word “cartoons” is actually shadow caster geometry. That will not render. It will create a shadow of itself on the ground plane. This will result in an image that looks exactly like the image in this post (which is a render, not a playblast).

I think there’s a little too much going on, and it would be nicer to see a bit more acting in the robot hand arm. a little more character in it wouldn’t be terrible. not too sure on the transition between the logo and the ping pongs flying around the room still either. other than that, off to a great start floyd. -JX!

thanks for the feedback everyone… Oh I should mention.. I’m the guy that actually has the pleasure of animating this project. So far it’s been a blast to work on… I can’t thank Fred S. and Larry Huber enough for their feedback during the conference calls, and helping us to make this one of the coolest projects I have yet to work on. I know what you guys are saying about it being more simple. I think the balls appear to be a bit overwhelming in the animatic. And may take away from my sweet hand animation… However, in the final render, I think the combination of motion blur and the final color/lighting will help blend the balls into the scene and soften their appearance. Plus Fred wanted to see more balls in his face, so I put more balls in his face I’m currently awaiting feedback from him on this (I know he’s a busy man and will get to it when time permits) If I were to change anything at this point, it would be to break up the rush of balls that bounce in at the end to make up the logo. thanks again and I’ll hopefully be finishing this up very soon!!!!
