Michael Lapinski writes: “Born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey; I now live and work in Park Slope, Brooklyn. After getting my degree in Graphic Design from Rutgers University, my first job was painting cels for the old Jumbo Studios. Since then, I’ve served as a Lead Designer on Nickelodeon’s “Blue’s Clues” and more recently as Color Supervisor on “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” for Dancing Diablo Studio. At Diablo, I also had the opportunity to write, design, and direct the short “Home Sweet Home,” about a lost tree frog, for Sesame International. I’m currently doing more traditional design work (posters, packaging, logos) for theatre companies and musicians, and soon I’ll be art directing an animated interstitial created by Amy and Liza Steinberg for Noggin. I like the deep sea and the lower case ‘e.’

“Thanks to Fred and the good people at Frederator for the opportunity and for the community they’ve created. The movement and playfulness of Darren Moore’s submission — on top of Fred’s initial suggestion to take the concept out of the computer — led me to drawing on lotto balls. That, and sweet, sweet memories of Lotto Lady, Yolanda Vega. Cheers also to the “Random! Cartoons” creators and teams - the production art on the blogs is inspired and I hope the logo serves you well.”

Darron Moore writes: “On the minutia of my life: I’m a freelance graphic designer, husband to my beautiful bride of 8 years, Amy, and father of Anna-Grace (6), Duncan (4), and Skylar (3). We live in Caddo Mills, TX. In my spare time (Ha!) I read and write science fiction, build ray guns and rocket backpacks and help coach my two oldest’s tee-ball team, the mighty Sand Gnats!

“I’m attaching a pic here of my family right before we headed off to our first trip to Disney World.”

Congratulations again, Michael and Darron.

PS - My dad, Dennis Lapinski, made that foam “Here’s the Beef” cheeseburger costume and pickle beret. Best Halloween costumes ever - thanks dad!
