MooBeard: The Cow Pirate

Here’s the next installment in my series of posts about what you won’t see in the MooBeard short.

This is Lars-Olaf. He’s a huge, swedish, Lion who occasionally gets mistaken for captain because he’s such an imposing figure. There’s no way he’s up to that task. Stumps dance intellectual circles around this guy.

He’s very useful as muscle and he follows directions well… as long as he understands them. He carries an axe, but he doesn’t seem to know it’s for chopping. He uses it to bop enemies on the head, mostly.

Lars-Olaf can be very childlike. In the first draft of the MooBeard short, the crew was fighting a hoard of little ninja duckies. At one point, Lars-Olaf loses his focus and starts performing a puppet-show using two unconscious duckies.
