MooBeard: The Cow Pirate

I want to get back into the habit of posting here, so I’m gonna start a series of posts about things you won’t be seeing in the MooBeard short. This will include things that I’d like to do with MooBeard should I ever get to do more with him, and also some things from the production of the short that won’t make it into the final product. I’m gonna start by introducing the crew members that didn’t make it to the short.

This is Weez. He’s the ship’s production assistant… which means he does all the stuff MooBeard doesn’t wanna do. He’s a terribly disagreeable guy and he seems to have a lot of whining to do. In fact, he’s kind of like a cross between Simon Cowell and a 5 year old… with a hint of John Cleese. He’s really irritated that Sailor Bird has a better job than he does and frequently laments the “injustice”. MooBeard LOVES messing with this guy, and he gives MooBeard a lot of chances to show off his youthful irreverance.

Weez was still there in the second-to-last pitch, making him the last crew member to be cut. His yen for overdramatic monologues was ultimately his undoing in the battle for 7 minutes.
