WOOHOO!
I just got to see the first pencil tests from the MooBeard short, and they’re amazing!! I guess I didn’t have to worry so much after all. The overseas animators really seem to understand the characters and the overall look, plus they didn’t mess up any of my layout drawings. The fight scenes and run/walk cycles look especially good, and the effects animation of the jet pack smoke looks downright theatrical! Sailor Bird looks a little off here and there in the eyes (I doubt anybody but me would notice it), but overall, I’m very happy with what I’ve seen so far.

Maybe rough, three-second, black and white, soundless clips are the wave of the future. They should be if they’re as good as these. Congratulations, Kyle.
