This week’s way cool fan art is from Stoney, whose real name I totally don’t know.

Get Well Soon, Jeff!

MooBeard’s director and creator of The Finster Finster Show , Jeff De Grandis, is out sick with pnumonia today, so I thought I’d do him some get-well-soon art. Feel better, Jeffy!

Gasp!

Hi, folks! I’ve been doing a lot of keyframing this week. Basically, that means I’m doing full-sized animation drawings for the overseas animators to use. It’s a luxury most modern-day television productions don’t allow, so I plan to take advantage of the opportunity and draw a whole mess of ‘em. I think it may be my favorite part to do, since it lets you stretch your drawing muscles the most. I’m trying to start off with scenes with no dialogue in them since I haven’t chosen the final takes from our recording session yet.

Weekly Fanart: Plastictoon

August 24th, 2005

This week’s art of fan comes from Jay “Sketch” Smith, who has been a pal of mine since the first grade. He told me about a really funny Oh Yeah pitch he wants to make, and he’d better hurry his butt up and DO it. *cough-cough*

Our little pal, Ungus.

This is Ungus the Unpleasant! He’s one of the obstacles guarding the cave of Hookamookapookalapp, which holds the treasure our heroes, MooBeard and Sailor Bird, are after. He started out as just a rough doodle in a long pan shot in one version of the board, but I kept getting requests to make his part bigger and bigger, so he has a few lines now. You never know when that kind of thing is going to happen! I’ll be doing his voice tomorrow when we record our voices!

Voices cast!!

August 18th, 2005

moo_voice_cast.jpg

Woohoo! I’ve just been given the green light to announce my voice cast!

Billy West
will play our unconventional captain MooBeard,
Erica Luttrell will play his saucy-tongued navigator, Sailor Bird, and
David “Gruber” Allen will play the villainous ninja ducky Dark Blade of Fire!

We record this coming Wednesday! I’m psyched!

Weekly Fanart: EnterPraiz

This nifty little MooBeard drawing is from Zachary “EnterPraiz” Eisenman from Derby, Connecticut.

For anyone who’s trying to keep close tabs of what I’m doing, I’m currently animating a flaming chicken run cycle. You might want to log that away in case you need to know later.

Sailor Bird Color Compromise?

August 16th, 2005

sailor_bird_comprimise.jpg

Ok, thankfully, Fred has clarified that don’t have to change Sailor Bird. Still, I thought I’d give another, smaller variation a try in order to try to solve the problem, yet keep Sailor Bird looking like herself. I used her original color scheme, but made her feathers a paler yellow. Thoughts?

Kyle Needs Your Help!

The network is a little worried that Sailor Bird’s current color scheme (#1 above) makes her look too much like Tweety. I made a few variations. Which one above do you folks like best? Any suggestions?
