MooBeard: The Cow Pirate

Humble Beginnings with Bacon

July 19th, 2005

Dood. That right there is the first ever drawing of MooBeard! It’s from March, 2003. My computer had broken, so I was spending all my usual net surfing time trying to come up with new characters. I was thinking about a pirate-crew drawing Samy had done, realized I hadn’t done anything with that genre yet, and tried to come up with something. Somehow, I don’t think I had planned MooBeard to be the protagonist yet. In case you can’t make out my scrawled words up there, it says “Treasure Plummet”. N’heh.

Also, my good friend Jay Smith has informed me that I’ve reduced his number of degrees of seperation from Kevin Bacon:
“Kevin Bacon was in “A Few Good Men” with Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise was in “War of the Worlds” directed by Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg produced “Toonsylvania” directed by Jeff DeGrandis

Jeff DeGrandis is directing “MooBeard” created by TV’s Kyle A Carrozza

Kyle Carrozza created “Clare’s Stupid Life”, and issue 5 was partially written by Jason Howard Smith.”

he went from Pilgrim to Pirate!

I love him now… he’s much more simplified, but still rock that awesome cartoonish style. ^___^

So does that make me closer to Kevin Bacon since I created Kyle A Carrozza??? :)

For those that don’t know, “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon” is some game that a couple college kids came up with, where you name someone in the entertainment field, and you link them to Kevin Bacon within 6 steps. Practically everyone can be linked within 6 degrees. And, I have TV’s Kyle to thank for getting ME involved in that stupid game! Thanks!

Anyway, cheap plug while I’m typing this, go look for Furrlough issue 136 - featuring “Clare-ks” by TV’s Kyle and myself.

Kyle, dude! You’re a blogger??? This is so cool.
Hey Moobeard looks a lil’bloated, right?
See you dude!

It must be all that quiche! ^_’

Wow… Can you say evolution? He’s definately gone through a lot of change since his initial creation, that’s for sure!

… And whoa! So close to Kevin Bacon! Eerie that is, man! *wierded out*

Sweet! Thanks to your appearance on Pickle Radio, this also puts me five degrees away!

Bam!

YAYAYAYYA!!! ehehe, I help you isn`t it?? eeheh!
