What program did you use to do the animation? Is it all after effects? And who posted this? lol Take some credit for your great work!

sorry steve! it was me! I made the post! i changed it to have my name at the bottom. all of these mistakes.. i will never be able to liv e up to Floyd.. forever in his blogging shadow i am. s’cool though. Floyd is the best.. arouuund! nuthin’s ever gonna keep him down!

also my bit for six monsters was traditionally animated on paper, then scanned, then colored in photoshop and composited in after effects.
which is fun to do. but aww man. i’ve been playing with flash lately. it’s such a breeze to animate in and to color with. .. i don’t know if i’ll be animating anything on paper for a long while. i’m hooked. the only catch is.. flash can’t replicate that crafted touch.. the computer smoothed lines lack the warmth you get from pencil on paper.
.. but i love that smoothing effect that flash has too.. i’ve been just sketching in it lately. i did a monster dance party animation. … s’pose i could post it here in the monsters blog?

hahaha Pen! This is hilarious! Great stuff! Flash is an awesome program! I’m doing all my animation in it for my Ace & Aqua© promo. It’s good that you’re traditionally animating in flash, and not only using symbols which is a GREAT thing! In flash, It’s easier to do timing because you can instantly see results of 5 frames of work, and lip syncing is a breeze because you can have your audio on a layer and just animate to it, instead of having to time everything out before hand! I cant wait to see the finished result my man!
