More Six Monsters Animation
With the recent post of some Fanboy animation, I thought we’d better put up some more of our stuff as well.
HERE is another final shot from our piece. We stressed for quite a while as to how to handle the effect of Gailard’s hand phasing into the water fountain. We thought about a spectral mist, then a flash of light, then maybe some sort of ectoplasmic goo release (yuck!), before we settled on the more subtle effect you see in the clip.
It happens so fast, and the effect is not the focus of the action, we think it works. What do you think?

It looks fine, but I think I like your Fanboy stuff a lot more. What you did with Fanboy, captured the essence of traditional animation with the 3D look.

Fanboy and this 6 Monsters project arent made by the same creator nor are they animated by the same people.

Wow Floyd! Looking great! It’s really cool to see that CG for TV is coming this far. I’d like to see this guy haunt the Super Mart store in Fanboy.
Best of luck,
Eric

Floyd looks great. the only thing that bugs me (cause im a tech geek) is that you dont see him glowing in the refraction and relfection of the water bottle.. its black/darkish.. i know youve probably been racking your head trying to figure that one out..lol anyway looks great though.. btw i think fanboy is redeyes production. both look great though..

Looks great! I just noticed that water bottle thing, yeah you should have his arm glowing behind it! I cant wait to see some loooonger clips!

We’re working on the refraction thing. For now, we’re going with the fact that he’s a ghost, he doesn’t refract… kind of like a vampire not showing up in reflections.

FLOYD; THIS LOOKS SO BOSS, MAN.
JUST LIKE IN ERIC’S FANBOY; IT’S NICE TO SEE TRADITIONAL TOUCHES PUT IN THE CG WORLD. THE MELDING OF THE TWO ANIMATION TWAINS DOES WORK WONDERFULLY.
THIS LOOKS REAL GREAT!
CONTINUED FUN AND SUCCESS FLOYD.
TAKE CARE.
