HERE is a quick test of what Buck will look like once he gets soaked. As you can see in the test, wet Buck’s fur is less fluffy, clumpy, and not transparent at all.

i like that the wet fur clumps up wouldnt’ wet fur be clumpy and weighed down by gravity? hopefully keith wont have a hard time lighting this character, right now he looks like a 3rd rate stuffed animal.
im assuming that’s his tail sticking out from teh back of his head and,…where did his hands go?

The gravity comes during the simulatio nphase of production. We take a Maya Hair system and apply it’s dynamic properties to the fur. The Hair system’s motions then in turn drive the fur. It will then react to the water (and gravity) as you have described. Thanks for the post!
