Roy Meets World
June 5th, 2006
Here’s a panel from my Six Monsters storyboard. If you listen closely you can hear Roy singing an original song about sandwiches. Believe it or not, during a recent LA-NY conference call we debated what type of sandwhich is funnier: roast beef or pastrami. I love the cartoon business.
By the way, what kind of sandwhich do you think is the funniest?

Pastrami is a funnier name. Gabblagootz is even a better name tho but not many today know what it is!

Roast beef is only funny is France. They think it’s comedy gold over there. Those cheese eating surrender monkeys can’t appreciate the fine subtle humor of Pastrami. A true comedic sammich. And sammich is a funny word too!

i’m really partial to roast beef for funny. sure pastrami is kinda a wiggly name for meat. but roast beef is manlier. actually my friend nicole just made a good point.. that “beef” by itself is funnier than “roast beef”. the roast kinda slows it down. try saying “beef!” outloud. that’s funny! say it like you’re honking a little cute car horn.
