2D vs. 3D.

One of our commenters was rightly confused about the style of Six Monsters.
As I think I mentioned elsewhere this short is being written and directed by several different creative teams, all contributing to the same cartoon, sort like an animator jam session. One of the experiments here –and like all experiments, it could work or not– is that each team will interpret their cartoon in their own visual style. With this Six Monsters short, one minute will be 3D, the others are 2D. In the future, who knows? The ratio could keep changing.
So, the confusion is here because Floyd is such a fantastic and prolific blogger, and so far, only Dan has put up a post with his artwork. As the others come online, you’ll see their styles too.

HI FRED AND SIX MONSTERS:
I THINK IT WILL WORK IF THE STORY DIRECTION IS MAINTAINED WITH A CLEAR VISION AND GOOD CONTINUITY BETWEEN ALL ARTISTS.
THIS IS A COOL IDEA AND WOULD LIKE TO TRY IT MYSELF.
I LOVE EVERYTHING I SEE SO FAR.
CONTINUED FUN!!!!

What would be even cooler, was if the 6monster shorts were in all 3 differnt styles. CGI, Traditional 2D, and Flash animation. I think those are the only type of animation sty;es, so then like 2 CGI 2 Tradition 2D and 2 Flash. Just an idea lol -Steve http://stephenstudio.som

It would be nice to see some clay animation included as well.
