Ma Essentials
Goodness, this week just flew by for me, possibly because of all the excitement. I’ve been cranking away at the storyboard, which is quite a task. Challenging, but very fun.
The above image is a concept sketch of how I envision “Ma”, Ivan’s cranky mother. Even if her son, Ivan, is a bumbling, walking disaster waiting to trigger, he’s still her son. But that doesn’t mean she has to look forward to it…
Yesterday I had a casting meeting, and I’m really looking forward to (possibly) getting the great, Tress MacNeille (Mom, “Futurama”) to voice my female lead.
Speaking of Ma, I want to take this opportunity to thank most of all, the folks who have always supported me in hopes to acheive my goals, my mom and dad. Throughout this production, I’m not doing this mostly for myself, but for them. I hope to continue with my career and make them proud, and especially give them a positive feeling as my father is going through alzheimers, while my mother looks after him.
Keep strong, I won’t let you down.

Generations are really different. When I was a young man, my friends and I never would have admitted our thanks to our parents, whether it was true or not. Bob Dylan told us not to trust anyone over 30, and non-conformists that we were, we agreed! Now, we’re making up for (truly) lost time, like my promotional postcards of my Mom and Dad. {http://frederatorstudios.blogspot.com/2005_05_29_frederatorstudios_archive.html}.
