The Hornswiggle pencil tests are in, corrections are being made and retakes have been ordered. It’s lookin’ good — scratch that… it’s lookin’ GREAT! Color footage should be in next week and the post production process (editing, sound effects, music, final mix, etc.) starts in March.
I love the look of all the “Frederator Newtoons” (I will henceforth refrain from using the term OH YEAH! CARTOONS as we are apparently seconds away from a new name for the series). I hope somebody does a line up with all the characters next to each other - it’ll look really cool.

Hey Jerry; we don’t talk too much on the blog, or have talked too much anywhere. But I’ve changed all that now.
I must say your cartoon looks really cool and look forward in seeing more of it. The style looks wonderful keeping a great nostalgic cartoon feel to me. I wish you continued fun and success with Hornswiggle.

Hey Jerry, I’m still a little new around here but I’ve been following everyones blogs for a while. I have to say I’ve really enjoyed following the development of yours. The whole way it’s felt like a classic cartoon creation, something we just don’t see very much of these days and I’m glad to see it be done so well in Hornswiggle. I wish you the best of luck as I’m really hoping that there will be a resurgance of warmth and old fashioned craft in animation.

Thanks guys! That “nostalgic cartoon feel” I’m going for is quite intentional. I believe classic cartoon techniques and conventions are evergreen and are just as fresh to kids today as the latest “cutting edge” designs. I see classic cartoon touches in your work as well. All the most successful cartoons of the last 17 years have it - from The Simpsons to South Park, from Ren & Stimpy to Spongebob. Good ideas are good ideas - and funny characters are funny characters. And it looks like the Season 4 Frederator Newtoons have that x39!
