Hornswiggle

GOING AWAY!

November 30th, 2005

Hornswiggle is packing his bags and going to Korea on Friday.

Jerry Beck is also packing his bags and going back to Hollywood on Friday.

Hornswiggle is being animated during the next 12 weeks. It’ll be exciting to see this cartoon come to life (several scenes in pencil test are expected to appear in late January and in February). Music, sound effects, and Final Mix scheduled for March & April. Oh boy!

This is NOT the final post on this blog. I plan to post more photos and art in the ensuing months…

It’s been great fun, met some great people and made some new friends during my 3 months in-house. I hope to appear at some of the Town Hall meetings in the ensuing months.

One thing I can say, in all sincerity, is that this show (OH YEAH! CARTOONS or whatever they wind up calling it) will be the best season of it Frederator ever produced. The diversity of people, ideas, concepts, character designs and sheer talent involved guarantee it. I can tell from what I’ve seen in person, beyond the blogging, that this series will be a major animation event of 2006.

Thanks again to Fred, Eric, Melissa, Therese, Kevin, Jack, Meredith, Claudia and Larry for making it all possible.

(And while I’m at it - Extra super-duper thanks to my colleagues at G7 Animation - Rich Arons, Tom Sito, Liz Lee, David Armstrong, Dennis Venizelos and of course, Tom Tataranowicz.)

To be continued…

Jerry, I have really enjoyed watching your show come to life, and having someone as important to the animation community as you are, creating greatness right under my nose..quite an honor.

It’s been great having you around, Jerry. We’re all looking forward to Hornswiggle & company. We’ll see you in a few months for post-production. (Maybe you should sell another short in the meantime?)

Thanks so much Jerry! We all had fun, and I can’t wait to see how great it looks.

Jerry, You still better come visit when I’m in town. And Rich, Tom , Liz, David, Dennis, Tom T–thank you all.

Good luck in Korea! Hope it turns out just the way you envisioned it!

Wow….can’t wait to see the finished show. Looking forward to this crazy cartoon!
