The indispensable Carrie Miller.
Earlier today animator (and Channel Frederator blogger) Floyd Bishop reminded me how seldom I publically thank my executive assistant/minder/producer Carrie Miller.
Carrie joined us in the New York studio about 18 months ago and immediately added a special touch, since she was the first assistant I’ve had that loves cartoons, especially cute ones. She even worked in production before Frederator, at Camp Chaos in her home state of Pennsylvania. It’s impossible to let you know all she does for us, but suffice it to say that anyone who deals with her, in or out of the company, comes away from the experience admiring her. Currently, as Dan mentioned, she’s producing the upcoming Meth Minute 39 series and the Drinking & Drawing event at the Platform Animation Festival. It’s particularly hard dealing with me, whichever coast I’m cavorting on, and I feel lucky to be minded by such a dedicated, talented, and wonderful person.
My biggest surprise during our time together so far is how much she likes beer.
Thanks Carrie. I couldn’t accomplish much without you.
PS: The picture from our 2006 Christmas party is Carrie with the consummate animation artist Jim Manocchio, her financé.
