The original Fairly Oddparents short

Butch Hartman has been making one of the funniest series on TV for the last five or six years. Not just the funniest cartoon, but funny period. You know it’s true.

And it’s about time the Annies recognized it. Please VOTE: The Fairly Oddparents for Best Television Production.

It’s the best series. Period.

It’s great the show got this nomination now, right as we get word that after a year long production hiatus, FOP is going back into production on 20 half hours (40 stories). Butch hasn’t blogged up until now (it has us unfairly not mentioning this amazing show enough), but that’s about to change too. (Watch this space for more.)

Cast your vote. There’s still time. Thank you.

Oh wow, I remember this. It’s evolved so much. Thanks for this nostalgia.

Is Butch coming back as a writer or director?

EHH, it’s Butch’s show all the way. He’ll be directing, designing, boarding, writing. Not all alone, of course, but leading the charge.

Great! Because the show hasn’t been the same without him!

As a one-time fan of FOP, may I just say this, borrowing from that late great actor, Clark Gable:

“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

I was never a fan, and don’t think it’s even close to the funniest cartoon on television. Sorry guys… I like the blog, and can understand why you’d want a Frederator show to win this award. However, The Fairly Oddparents doesn’t hold a candle to The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy or Spongebob Squarepants.

I remember that short. The first time I’ve actually seen it was just the ending part and it reminded me of the cartoon Dexter’s Lab. But it’s nice to see the original short again.

omg… memories memories.I barely remember that.Yes it has changed alot.

man, i love this show!

Sorry for bumping up this ancient post, but I believe the link doesn’t work anymore. Hopefully there’s another link or something.

I was hoping to see it again tonight. Its a little surreal hearing the late great Mary Kay Bergman as Timmy Turner.

Nvm, it works again.

I wonder when this short was made. It appears it was made when Titanic was the “in-thing” I guess the summer of 98 or something. I doubt though Timmy’s dad would see something like Titanic. Or if he did see it, he would fall asleep or something.

I’m so excited that Fairly Odd Parents is back! I love to see Cosmo and Wanda’s adventures with Timmy. I think there should be two spinoffs, one where Cosmo and Wanda’s adventures in preschool and beyond. And one where Cosmo and Wanda are with Tommy/Tammy (Timmy’s children at the end of Channel Chasers.)

Apparently i REALLY need to catch the Channel Chasers ep. I keep hearing about it, but have never seen it. BTW, the clip at the start of this set of posts is no longer working.
