My Dad.

Luckily for everyone I can’t draw, so you’ll have to depend on the artists on the blog for their great fatherly interpretations.

My father passed away about five years ago, and maybe because there’ve been a few health difficulties in my family this year he’s been on my mind more than usual. And it’s hard to share a lifetime of gained wisdoms in a few bloglines, but I wanted to give him some public props today.

My dad was a kind man. He taught by his actions and his work and the way he treated his wife, his kids, and every person he came into contact with every day. I’ve heard a lot of people talking this Father’s Day about how their fathers taught them to be men, and that isn’t the thing I would’ve thought about mine. But he and my mom did teach us to be people, good people they hoped (with decent grammar; I’m not so sure he succeeded there). He really gave us a love of the people in the world, a way to enjoy each and every one of them for the best they had to offer. In that I sure hope he’s succeeded. I try every day Dad.

Hi Fred!
I hope all is well as always and a happy belated Father’s Day to you.
You know Fred; as my father says. “The accorn doesn’t fall far from the tree.” And that’s why you are the great person you are. And that’s why we love working with you.
I’m happy to say, I come from the same forest.
Your father seemed like a wonderful person. And yes; you do look like him too!
Take care Fred and we’ll talk soon!
Your Cartoon Pal and Friend……. Jeff

Happy Father’s Day.

Hey Fred - I have been thinking of you lately and what’s been happening in your life - popped a Google search and low, here is your blog… you do look alot like your dad ! I hope any of the health issues you mention in your last post are temporary in nature, and that you and Robin and the boys are doing great - I have been commuting to Greenwich in my new gig with the hedge fund since March… things are crazy busy and I am having lots of fun at what we call the Miscreants Camp - we are active in the entertainment business and have been acquiring music publishing rights… recent acquisitions include financing Courtney’s share of the Nirvana catalouge (it’s for Francis), Rick Wake’s library, the MGM TV and Movie library, and lots of other fun stuff… I am traveling out to Cali regularly now and would love to find out what’s happening with you - please drop me a line at reehl@comcast.net
