Garth is a winner.
Ever since we set up our gallery at DeviantArt I’ve been impressed by the artists who gather there and have been looking for ways to get more involved.
Last week we started a sort of ‘contest.’ We asked the community whether they could come up with variations on our Frederator robot; we’d give $100 to every adaptation we loved. Within hours entries started showing up in our email box.
The first winner was Garth for his robot posted above. But I’ll tell you, it was hard. There were some smart drawings there (you can check them out on our gallery as “Frederator Robot Submissions”), and though they weren’t all slick, that doesn’t really matter to me, and I think you’ll be surprised in some of the winners in the coming weeks.
So, congratulations Garth. And thanks for playing along with me.

Steve, ya gotta stay current with our DeviantArt gallery! Seriously, the ‘contest’ has only been up for less than a week, and besides, it’s on-going for as long as we can do it, until we’re bored. Which, because it’s our own logo, will be never.
