Oh Yeah! Floyd Bishop.

August 17th, 2005

Floyd Bishop owns Bishop Animation in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, “a full service animation studio, specializing in high end computer animation.” After reading about the studio on Cartoon Brew, we asked Floyd to come by and talk with us about Oh Yeah! Cartoons. After showing us the studio reel and some concept drawings earlier in the summer, today Floyd and Veronica Harper came by to show us Lost & Pound.

Here’s a download of a CGI motion test they brought of one of their characters.

Thanks to Floyd for his kind permission to post some of his pitch.

Awesome crab!! Great idea!!!! Can’t wait to see the other characters!!!

Thanks Fred. We’re deciding which characters to kill off at the moment. It’s supposed to be a seven minute show, and we had 13 characters! Way too many, but I guess when it’s your story, it’s hard to see it that way. The notes we got from Fred yesterday helped a lot. We’re waiting on more before we decide which animals to put to sleep.

Stay tuned.

Is it just me, or is the video link not working? Fred, if you’re reading this and you want a web friendly format from us, let me know.

Hey Floyd, I too could not get the site opened to view the movie link> Please send a copy of it to me. I want to see more characters!!!! thanks, Fred

Great work Floyd and Veronicabe!! You guys are the best!! I love the idea, especially the name, Lost and Pound, and the crab is marvelous!!!! I couldn’t get the video to work, it would be great to see it and to see more characcters! Can you email me more or tell me where to find them? Keep up the fantastic work! Chris

Here’s a link that should work. It’s a Quicktime movie:

Forgive the compression artifacts.

For whatever it’s worth, it seems that the video issue is specific to certain browsers. Our team is busy working it out. Sorry about that.

Thank you for the info!
