Congratulations Andrew! Oh Yeah!

July 19th, 2005

We’re off to the races. The second short for this season has begun, as well as the second creator blog.

Andrew Dickman’s Ivan the Unbearable seemed to create a lot of unwarranted controversy when we first mentioned his cartoon (though for the life of me I can’t understand why; we’ve mentioned virtually nothing about any pitch other than the creator(s) name(s) and one drawing. How anyone can come to any conclusions knowing nothing about characters or stories is beyond me.) Andrew’s got a great style and a wonderful ability to come up with funny characters and funny stories. He’s going to make a fantastic Oh Yeah! cartoon.

Welcome Andrew. Thanks for joining us.

Man, andrew, f*ck that guy/girl/whatever they are for saying that bullsh*t about you. the designs and story sound great. they’re just jealous, and probably lousy hacks themselves.

Sorry to hear about more struggles at ground level sweeping the both of you up. I just hope things clean up in time. Both of you are amazingly talented I hope the best for each of you.

Keep up the work Kyle! Best of luck!

I think based on what was showcased, the comments are valid, very valid and if you consider what Oh Yeah! has produced in the past *think countless boring cartoons and ren and stimpy/cow and chicken inspired rip-offs (not that cow and chicken was any good to begin with and nearly painful just to look at, Damn! that show was hideous!*. We can be rest assured this season will be no different, there’s bound to be 70% crap, we can only hope that ratio improves. So stop kissing ass all you nerds just because you

To Fred Seibert:

The reason his pitch has SOOOO much feedback is that he has his own portfolio at deviantART.com:

http//andrewdickman.deviantart.com

Kyle has his own there as well:

http://tvskyle.deviantart.com

and so does that girl who works at Frederator (whose name I forgot):

http://animatrixie.deviantart.com/

Just ro tell you (if you don’t know), forgot to finish the “Http://” thing at the start of the first URL.

excuse me, but animatrixie has nothing to do with either of our cartoons. If you please. leave it be… Thanks

I wasn’t going to say anything further, because I didn’t want to lower myself to yr levels, because frankly I didn’t want to waste my time. But you guys shouldn’t be doing this on a Companie’s Blog. It just makes the company, and yrselves look bad. Stop being dicks. Furthermore, Deviantart is a cool, cheap way to host yr portfolios, when, in my case, you are too poor to get a good website out, or if you simply don’t have the time to make one. It is good exposure and a great way to promote yrself. regardless, if you are a good artist, or a mediocre one. It is good that andrew and kyle are on there because it’s giving them great promotion and slowly building up a fanbase. Remember, bad press is good press too! As far as the comments about those of us who have since “graduated and are Coming Up, feeling all desperate, trying to cling onto coattails, kissing ass and what not” you don’t know me at all. I don’t “kiss ass” when it comes to art, I’m a very hard person to impress, and if I like something or see charm in it, I tell them straight up I like it. I don’t kiss ass.
All yr doing is wasting yr time, my time, and everyone elses time with cheap shots. I don’t have to hide behind a screenname either like a coward.
Just quit being Jerks, that’s all.
Peace.

Ok, now to some of these comments about Andrew being a so called “Hack”, and people using Deviant Art because they’re too cheap to get a website:

Number 1:
Andrew is no “Rip-off artist”. From what I have seen, all of his ideas are original. VERY few of them are what people call “Fan-fics” or “side-stories”, but that’s what makes Andrew a great storyteller. It shows he likes the stuff people want to watch.

Number 2:
Andrew has his own website: http://www.starfieldcreations.com, and it showcases all of his art and ideas. So he ain’t “cheap”, people.

The people on Frederator’s blog have no idea what they are talking about. I, personally, cant wait to see Ivan on my TV.

Kudos to you again, Andrew.
