Here’s the first pass at the color style for Flavio and I gotta say I’m diggin’ it! My friend Maurice has done a fantastic job!
That’s all vector BTW… totally Flash, and even though we’re not doing the film in Flash, with the bg’s being vector it’ll be easy to resize etc for the overseas studio and hopefully be easier to keep them all consistant.
I do have a few small notes like the request to make the sky be a gradient and to ‘dirty it up” a bit so the bg isn’t soooo squeaky clean. Any one that’s ever been to Jersey City (which is loosely where I picture Flavio lives)will tell you it ain’t that clean there. Lastly I’m going to have him make the Forget Aboutit be in black so it ‘pops’ better and add the word “Pizza” above the awning.

I hope everyone’s Independence Day was good. The bigger part of my 4 days off were spent blistering my hands while breaking up old wood on my front deck then destroying my back by painting that same stupid deck all the while frying my face in the 105+ hot Valley sun. Fun huh?
Actually it ended up good as I drank much Captain Morgan and lemonade in the pool on the 4th and was thankful we are free.

Well I’m down to my last two weeks. All that’s left for me is timing the exposure sheets and re-recording of some Flavio dialog I thought was a bit stinky. I’ve still got to approve color as well as the bg painting but I farmed those out to two talented fellas so I can’t count that on my list of “things to do”.
