Flavio Bgs
An old friend Maurice Morgan is doing all the bgs for Flavio and he sent me the first batch today. I’m very happy with them so far. The color style will probably be a bit unique but for the basic layouts I wanted to just go with good solid bgs.

Those look great, Mike. Maurice did a nice job! I’m anxious to see what they look like in color with the charatcers in place.

Thanks Floyd! I’m getting anxious too as I only have one month left for the production of this film and we’ve still got a ways to go. I’m not really sure how we’re going to paint them just yet, whether we’re going to go for watercolors or acrylics but I know I want it to be a bit run down and dirty looking. No clean city streets for me. Ya know? Smduges and shmootz on the walls and floors. Maurice and I are scheduled to have a meeting on Friday to talk it over.

Yeah I guess I’m old skool… Probably ’cause I’m getting old, I gravitate towards that stuff. Mostly I did not want the bgs to overshadow the characters. I felt that a very “painterly” style would work best for Flavio.
