Fanboy and Chum Chum

Hello all! It’s been a while since my last blog but things are looking amazing! We just got some of our interstitials (15-40 sec. shorts) that I think will start airing mid next year and we should be locking sound and music after the holiday. Speaking of Music I am proud to introduce you to Brad Breeck. He’s the one with the wild look on his face. He is going to be the musical mad man to Fanboy and Chum Chum. Thanks to Niki Yang I was able to meet Brad. Brad was responsible for scoring Niki’s two shorts for Random! And being a fan of those shorts I thought Brad was the perfect fit to the show. So welcome aboard, Brad. You can also find Brad playing music with his band, The Mae Shi.

You all already know it (I glad you didn’t tell anyone), but today Nickelodeon officially announced the beginning of production for Eric Robles’ “Fanboy and Chum Chum”. The first Random! cartoons to go to series. Congratulations to Eric and the whole FB&CC team!

As we’re getting knee-deep on production on Nickelodeon’s Fanboy and Chum Chum (yes, that’s the official name), I reckon it’s time you meet the folks who are already working hard on the show. Of course, it’d be bad form to begin with anyone other than the creator, Eric Robles.

I first heard Eric talk about these characters, what, five years ago? Introduced to Frederator by Oh Yeah! filmmaker Andre Nieves, Eric was working on a kids’ book project with us (it was never made; but I bet some smart publisher will release it before long) and would periodically mention these two amped-up weirdo kids. Then, when we first got the go-ahead from Nick to produce thirty-nine new shorts (three years ago!), Eric was one of the first guys Fred went after to pitch (“Waddya got?”).
