In what has to be the first Fanboy-related Halloween costume ever, Master Tommy Burleson checked into the Nickelodeon Halloween party on Friday dressed as his hero, Chum Chum, straight down (up?) to the cow-licked hair. Awesome job, Tommy! (And thanks to your mom for the photos.)
A couple more shots - these courtesy of CG production assistant Dan Garza - of the Fanboy-themed area at Friday’s Halloween party here at Nickelodeon. Thanks, Dan.
Hello, Friends to the North. First you taunt us Americans with your publicly-funded health care system, now you get the premiere of Fanboy and Chum Chum a full four days before we do. How’s that happen? Well, it’s all part of the very first day of Nickelodeon in Canada. Read about it here. So, if you’re in Canada, set the timer on the oven for 7:00 p.m. ET, Monday night, November 2. Those of us in the U.S. must wait until Friday, November 6, at 9:00 p.m. for the big launch.

Happy Halloween. For this year’s annual Nickelodeon Halloween party, Chris Hamilton, Danielle Digrado, Alan Chow, Andrew Golden, Sheri Wheeler, Kellie Smith, Dan Garza, Mercedes Dominguez, Jared Kuvent, Sergio Lorenzo, Pooneh Nasrollahnia, and Roberto Jauregui banded together to create a creepy Fanboy-themed cemetery. They even whipped up the cool tree below (which later gets moved away from the restrooms and into the graveyard). Thanks, everyone!
Hey, I never mentioned the Nickelodeon Grand Prix race the other week, did I? Well, the deal is productions team up to create and race their radio-controlled cars around the studio’s courtyard. Nick then auctions off the cars, with the proceeds going to nearby George Washington Elementary School. All good stuff. This year, the Fanboy folks got together with the Diego and Kai Lan crews (team Diego and Fanboy in the Haos) with a car based on Fanboy’s Yum Yum character. Designed by Andrew Golden, a production assistant in Nick’s CG department, the Yum Yum car and its Nick Jr riders came in third (which must’ve been heart-breaking for Jeff DeGrandis). That’s the work in progress above (modeling clay; though bubblegum would’ve been awesome) and some of Andrew’s art below.
Thanks for the images, Andrew.
That’s Eric and Jamie Kennedy, the voice of Kyle, above, signing posters. Boy, looking at these pictures, it’s kind of hard to believe Eric Robles would’ve come up with a character named Fanboy, huh?
