Steve Tompkins recording Janitor Poopatine at Nick
Simoon asked here if someone could “post a blog post with the all the cast members and their respective roles”. The answer is ‘yes’. I was waiting till next week’s 52nd and final (for now) recording session to do a post like this, but here you go.
The part of Fanboy is played by David Hornsby, most known for his work in and on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Nika Futterman is Chum Chum. She’s done a ton of voice-over work. That’s her as Adam on My Gym Partner’s a Monkey.
The clerks at the Frosty Mart, Lenny and Boog, are played by The Daily Show’s Wyatt Cenac and Jeff Bennett. I’d highlight his résumé, but it’d be quicker to list the cartoons on which Jeff hasn’t worked. Here:
Oz, the owner of the local comic shop, is voiced by Josh Duhamel, Danny McCoy in TeeVee’s Las Vegas and Captain Lennox in the Transformer movies. Estelle Harris, George’s mother in Seinfeld, plays Oz’s mom.
Fanboy and Chum Chum’s classmates include Kyle as played by comedian/actor Jamie Kennedy, Candi “what voice hasn’t she done” Milo’s Lupé, and Yo, voiced by Dyana Liu.
Janitor Poopatine sounds a lot like the show’s story editor and executive producer, Steve Tompkins. And Mr Mufflin is the ubiquitous Mr Bennett. Jeff really deserves a special nod as the show’s utility man. You will hear his voice over and over and over but never go, “Hey, that’s Bennett again.”
