Man Arctica:character development

Hey guys……it’s Steve Lambe again. I’m a little overdue for a new post, so I figured I’d give you a little behind the scenes look at the development of the character, Man Arctica. Some of you may have seen Chris’s awesome textured version that Eric posted over the Christmas break.
Based on a meeting with Eric and some exchanged thumbnail sketches, here’s some of the concepts I came up with to hash out the character. The idea is make him superhero-ish but still weird and funny. He’s supposed to be the resident badass superhero in the Fanboy universe, but still totally goofy.
After looking through these, we picked the best ideas then merged it into one character.
Frosty Freezy Freeze Test

Here’s an early test of some CG effects animation. What’s makes this extra-refreshing is that it’s in the eighties here in sunny Burbank, and the thought of a Frosty Freezy Freeze really hits the spot (apologies to all those suffering your cold snaps).
