Drinking and Drawing with Gorillas.
When you come to the Drinking and Drawing party next week, you will be entering a jungle. This time the animated film that everyone is welcome to jam on will have a gorilla theme running through it. There will also be a live gorilla on stage. Clearly we are kicking the insanity up a notch from our last Drinking and Drawing party in Portland.
Why gorillas? Three reasons:
1) They are awesome, powerful, funny, and scary all at the same time.
2) They are fun to draw. Cartoons gorillas have existed for years. Just think about Magilla Gorilla, Grape Ape, the Gorillaz, and Grodd.
3) Since this is the first Drinking and Drawing party in New York City, we wanted an animal associated with it. Who can think of the Empire State Building without thinking of King Kong standing on top of it?
