Bruce Kapler and Al Chez, that’s who.
Specifically, Bruce and Al are the live horn section on “Internet People“. And they’ve been the horn section on David Letterman’s Late Show for well over a decade.
When Dan played me the first mix of the IP track and I noticed the funky old school horns my first thought was Bruce. We’d played together in a few bands while he was still in high school, and whenever we get a chance to do something together we grab at it (he also co-composed and produced the music for our Nicktoons Network Animation Festival). Dan prepped the tracks, emailed them over and Bruce layered on his saxophones, Al his trumpets, and Dan mixed it up as the song you’ve been hearing millions of times this week.
Thanks Bruce, as always. Thanks Al, glad to work with you. Thanks for all your help.

“Internet People” had logged over a million views days ago, but it was hard to fathom since it was spread over dozens of different sites. Last night, however, the view count on Youtube alone hit a million; a highly coveted membership card into an elite realm of Youtube videos.
My last cartoon that was featured on the front page of Youtube, “Hebrew Crunk” exactly a year ago is still short of a million. But not by much..it’s currently at 953,886 views. Maybe that’ll make into the million club soon too.
We just got word that shock jocks Opie & Anthony talked about my cartoon “Internet People” on this morning’s program.
Looks like Radio People are Internet People too.
A couple weeks ago, Opie and Anthony were probably the first mainstream media figures to interview Youtube phenomenon Tey Zonday of “Chocolate Rain” infamy. (He’s in my cartoon too).
Thanks, O & A, and if you could send us a clip of what you said this morning, we’d really appreciate it!
More than any of the other comments I’ve read about what Dan forgot in “Internet People” is Smosh, which I’d never heard of and no one I’ve spoken to had heard of. So here’s their top viewed episode from YouTube (more than 10,000,000) and a Wikipedia entry.

Amy Jussel of ShapingYouth.org, a site which discusses marketing and media’s influences on today’s younger generation, take a moment to discuss if kids are “Internet People”.
Read on, HERE.
