Looking for Flash-y Interns

August 14th, 2007

Now that summer is coming to an end, Claire and Josh are leaving Frederator to work on their senior thesises at school. They grow up so fast, don’t they? The nest is empty and we’re looking for new animation interns.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

1) Flash Skills - Basically this is the only software you’ll be using to animate with. Hopefully you’ve been using Flash for years and you are like a ninja with the Wacom tablet.

2. A demo reel - A resumé is pretty much worthless if we can’t see any of your work. Send me some examples of your animation so I can see what you do. This can be a DVD, CD, or just a link to your online portfolio. It doesn’t matter as long as we can see your stuff.

3. A sense of humor - A great animator adds humor to every drawing. Make us laugh and you’ve got yourself a desk here.

This is a Manhattan-based job. If you are in the area and you meet the 3 requirements above please contact us. I can’t wait to meet you.

Y’know, I hate the fact that I meet those three requirements perfectly (not trying to sound arrogant, heh), I live in New Jersey in a spot where Manhattan is, while a commute, easy to get to…but, I’m still in high school. Otherwise I’d jump on this opportunity in a flash. I’m hoping to get an internship after high school, but…well yeah. Sorry, heh..

Maybe you can do some freelancing for Dan.

I mean, do some of the internship from home- like freelance, in the sense that you work from home.

@ Stephen:
Hmm, that’s a possibility. Only thing I worry about is if I’d be able to keep up with everything. Ah, what the heck. I’ll contact Dan and see what happens. Thanks!
